Bio
 

James W. Hill is a member of WolfBlock Public Strategies, LLC. Mr. Hill provides effective government and public affairs services to corporate clients throughout the northeast region of the United States. Prior to joining WolfBlock Public Strategies, Mr. Hill spent more than seven years as government and public affairs counsel for various government relations firms in Washington, D.C., and Maryland.

Hill is a former executive director of the University of Maryland Downtown Baltimore Center, where he directed operations, development, planning and execution of a center devoted to providing education and training services for entrepreneurs. He created innovative programs such as the exportation of educational degrees and certificate programs to South America and India, employing a blend of live lectures and distance learning techniques.

During his law school studies at the University of Kentucky, Hill also served, by appointment of Governor Wallace Wilkinson, as a member of the Kentucky Council on Higher Education, which governed the State’s Public Colleges and Universities. He was appointed to the Political Science faculty of the University of Louisville, where he taught for three years, and was also appointed legal counsel to the City of Louisville’s legislative branch of government, the Board of Alderman.

Mr. Hill is a trustee of St. John’s Community Service, a board member of Bread for the City and a member of the Community Advisory Board of ResCare, Inc. He is a former director of the Louisville Urban League and former vice president of the Kentucky Young Democrats.

Hill received his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1990 and his B.A. in political science from the University of Louisville in 1987.
