Mr. Bronston is a Partner in the firm's Communications and Corporate/Securities Practice Groups. He was General Counsel of the New York City Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications, a 300-person agency responsible for supervising cable television and telecommunications franchising, monitoring state, federal and local legislation affecting the telecommunications industry and encouraging entrepreneurship and economic development in new technologies. Mr. Bronston was responsible for administering and enforcing nine franchise agreements with the major cable system operators covering more than 1,500,000 subscribers. He also negotiated the broadband telecommunications franchises. Mr. Bronston is highly experienced with public, educational and governmental access issues.

Mr. Bronston's clients include: AT&T; Cingular Wireless; Manhattan Neighborhood Network; Vector Media, LLC; and New York University.

Mr. Bronston has written extensively on telecommunications matters, including authoring the update to the treatise Communications Law and Practice to incorporate the Telecommunications Act of 1996. He also has lectured at numerous national and state seminars and conventions on telecommunications issues.

Mr. Bronston received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Harvard University in 1977, his M.P.A. from Columbia University in 1984, and his J.D. from Fordham Law School in 1985. He was Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Adirondack Council from 2001 to 2005. He is also a member of the "Adirondack 46ers" having climbed all the peaks in the Adirondacks over 4,000 feet.

Mr. Bronston is the Chair of the Telecommunications Law Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He served as Co-Chair of the New York City Chapter of the Federal Communications Bar Association. He is a member of the Telecommunications Policy Advisory Group of the New York City Economic Development Corporation. Mr. Bronston is currently a member of the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors.
